Biography
He works at the Institute of Forest Genetics was to develop the techniques of Tree Tissue Culture and Plant Biotechnology. Main purpose of experiment was in vitro propagation through bud culture and somatic embryogenesis and Genetic engineering. In 1990 he moved to Chungbuk National University where he had taught and done research for Tree and Plant Tissue culture, Tree biotechnology, Dendrology, Tree Breeding, Tree Physiology, Useful Plant Botany(including edible plants and medicinal plants). Plant and Tree species included in the projects were as follows: Pinus densiflora, Pinus Pinus rigida × P. taeda, Quercus acutissima,Populus alba × P. glandulosa, Zelkova serrata, Populus maximowicz, Betula platyphylla var. japonica,Berchemia berchemiafolia, Zelkova serrata, Zizypus jujuba var. innermis, Populus korena Salix chaenomeles Vaccinium oldhami, Hovenia dulcis Lagestromia indica, Katsura japonica, Scisandra chinensis and edelweiss(Leontopodium japonicum) etc.
