Biography
Tran Van Lang was born in Quang Tri, at Central of Vietnam. He received his BSc in mathematics (1982) and his PhD (1996) in applied mathematics from the HCMCity University of Natural Science. He holds a position as an Associate Professor at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology in Computer Science, and is the leader of a research group on bioinformatics and distributed computing at the Institute of Applied Mechanics and Informatics. He lectured bioinformatics, parallel and distributed computing and various subjects in computer science. His scientific interests include bioinformatics, high performance parallel and distributed computing, scientific computation, fuzzy computing methods for engineering applications. He also work at Lac Hong University (Vietnam) as dean of Faculty for Information Technology, and he also vice president of Council for Science and Education at Nguyen Tat Thanh University (VietNam)
